Cypress RV is teamed up with STS Foundation to help provide loving host families for high school foreign exchange students, and help these volunteer host families show their student the RV lifestyle and help them enjoy traveling with their student for camping, or even day or overnight trips to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, etc to show them what Texas is all about!

Cypress RV provides motorhomes and transportation for student and family group trips, and when your family hosts an international high school student with STS, Cypress RV provides substantial discounts on RV rentals and privileges like waiving minimum rental nights when you are taking your student.

WHAT IS BEING A HOST FAMILY ALL ABOUT?

Host families are needed for high school foreign exchange students who come to study in the USA for a school year through the US State Department’s J1 student exchange program. The students are 15-17 years old upon arrival, and STS has students from about many different countries. Want to learn the culture of a foreign country first hand? There is no better way than to host an exchange student. The biggest misconception is that this is expensive – not true! Students have a monthly stipend for their personal and school expenses, full health insurance, and the host families provide a bed and meals.

STS Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization designated by the US Department of State to run this program for the purpose of cultural enrichment and public diplomacy.
